इसमें मेरे कहे से ज़्यादा वक़्त लगा। यह ईमानदार बात है। मुझे लगातार ऐसी चीज़ें मिलती रहीं जिन्हें मैं सीना ठोककर रिलीज़ नहीं कर सकता था — एक कॉन्ट्रास्ट जाँच जो ग़लत तरफ़ राउंड कर रही थी, एक पैलेट एक्सट्रैक्टर जो ग्रेडिएंट पर हाथ खड़े कर देता था। छोटी चीज़ें। ऐसी, जो किसी को दिखती ही नहीं — जब तक टूल जिसके बारे में ग़लत है, वह ख़ुद वही इंसान न हो।
It took longer than I said it would. That's the honest version. I kept finding things I couldn't ship with a straight face — a contrast check that rounded the wrong way, a palette extractor that gave up on gradients. Small things. The kind nobody notices until they're the person the tool is wrong about.

The bigger news since the first post is that Auric stopped being only a website.
There's a VS Code extension now, Color & Accessibility Intelligence, sitting at
0.8.1. It scans your project while you work, keeps a health score with history so you can
see whether you're actually improving, and exports SARIF so CI can fail a build over a contrast
issue. Vision simulation moved in there too. Now you see the problem in the editor where you made it,
instead of three tabs away.
वेब टूल्स और शांत और तेज़ हो गए। पैलेट वैलिडेटर पास/फ़ेल का बैज थमाने के बजाय असली गड़बड़ियों की तरफ़ उँगली उठाता है। ASCII जनरेटर बचा रहा, क्योंकि वह मुझे पसंद है, और क्योंकि वह चुपचाप यह जाँचने का बढ़िया तरीक़ा निकला कि आपकी ल्यूमिनन्स की क्रम-व्यवस्था टिकती है या नहीं।
The web tools got quieter and faster. The palette validator points at real hotspots instead of handing you a pass/fail badge. The ASCII generator survived because I like it, and because it turns out to be a sneaky-good test of whether your luminance hierarchy holds up.
